A little about me
I’m Krista Fitzsimmons, REALTOR® with Coldwell Banker Electric Realty, proudly helping buyers and sellers throughout Peterborough, the Kawarthas, Lakefield, Norwood, Havelock, and surrounding communities.
I was born and raised in Peterborough, and after 12 years in real estate, I’ve developed not only a strong understanding of our local market, but a genuine appreciation for the communities and people who make this area such a special place to call home.
Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to receive annual real estate awards for 12 consecutive years and achieve the Lifetime Award of Excellence. I’m incredibly proud of those accomplishments, but what means the most to me are the relationships I’ve built along the way.

I’m a people person at heart, and I have a giant heart for my clients. I genuinely care about the people I work with, and I tend to become personally invested in their journeys.
Buying or selling a home can be exciting, emotional, stressful, and sometimes all three at once. My job is to help make that journey easier. I provide straightforward advice, honesty, integrity, and genuine personal care every step of the way, while always working hard to protect my clients’ interests and help them achieve their goals.
Whether I’m helping someone purchase their first home, sell a family home filled with memories, find an investment property, downsize into a new chapter, or find the right rental, I’m there for the whole journey, not simply the paperwork.

Specialized Support for Seniors & Downsizers
As an SRES® Specialist, I have specialized knowledge and experience supporting seniors and their families through real estate decisions, including downsizing and major life transitions.
I understand that selling a longtime family home is rarely just a financial decision. A home can hold decades of memories, milestones, and emotional connections. These situations deserve patience, compassion, and someone who will take the time to listen.
I work at my clients’ pace, helping them understand their options and move forward with confidence. My approach combines professional real estate expertise with the compassion and personal care these important transitions deserve.
12 Years of Experience, Backed by Local Roots
Being born and raised in Peterborough gives me a perspective on this area that goes far beyond real estate statistics. I know Peterborough and the surrounding communities because they have always been home.
With 12 years of real estate experience, I bring that born-and-raised local knowledge to every client I work with, whether they are buying their first home, preparing a property for sale, investing in real estate, or considering a move within Peterborough, the Kawarthas, Lakefield, Norwood, Havelock, or the surrounding area.
Experience matters, but so does how you treat people. I believe my clients deserve both.
Outside of real estate, I’m just a regular person who loves home, family, community, and, of course, my big German Shepherd. I love reading, biking, cooking, and spending time with my family.
Giving back is also important to me. Over the years, I’ve been involved in feeding those in need at Christmas and Thanksgiving, supporting local charities, and donating to local shelters. This community has given me so much, and I believe strongly in giving back whenever I can.
To me, a home is so much more than four walls. It’s where your life happens, where memories are made, and where you should feel truly comfortable. That belief is at the heart of how I approach real estate and how I care for my clients.
